01Signing in
I'm not getting the sign-in code email.
Sign-in codes arrive within 30 seconds. If yours hasn't shown up after a minute:
- Check your spam / promotions folder.
- Confirm the email is spelled correctly. The address is case-sensitive on some providers.
- If you use a corporate inbox, your IT may be filtering Resend (the service we send from). Try a personal address, or have your IT allow
resend.devandrollmind.app. - Tap "Resend code" — there is a 30-second cooldown between sends.
Still nothing? Email hi@rollmind.app and we will sign you in manually.
I lost access to the email on my account.
Email us from your new address. We will verify your identity (we may ask for the date you created the account and recent activity) and then move your data to the new email.
02Adding videos & building your graph
"This video has no transcript."
RollMind reads YouTube's public captions. If a video doesn't have them — either the creator disabled captions or YouTube hasn't auto-generated them — we can't extract from it. We don't burn one of your monthly videos on a failed extract.
What to try: open the video on YouTube, click the "..." menu under the video, and check whether captions are available. Many older or non-English videos don't have them.
"Couldn't fetch the transcript."
YouTube occasionally blocks transcript requests when it thinks something looks like a bot. RollMind has a fallback path that uses a hidden web view in your device's real browser engine, which usually gets through. If it still fails:
- Wait a minute and try again — the block is usually temporary.
- Check that you're connected to the internet and not on a VPN that routes through a data-center IP.
- Restart the app.
The graph extracted the wrong techniques.
AI extraction is not perfect. Long-tail submissions, niche grips, and gi-specific positions sometimes get mislabeled. The graph is yours to edit:
- Tap a node to rename it or change its category (position / transition / submission).
- Long-press an edge to remove a wrong relationship, or drag between two nodes to add one.
- Mark techniques you actually drill as "in my game" so game plans favor what you train.
If a video produced obvious nonsense, send us the URL and we will look at the prompt.
Game plans look thin.
Game plans are built from your graph — if the graph only has a handful of techniques from one position, the plan will be sparse. Add more videos covering that position and re-generate.
03The AI coach
The coach is giving generic answers.
The coach is grounded in your graph — if your graph is thin in the area you're asking about, you'll get general advice instead of specifics from your library. Add the relevant videos first.
Voice input isn't working.
- Check microphone permission: iOS Settings → RollMind → Microphone; Android Settings → Apps → RollMind → Permissions.
- If you're on a call or another app is using the mic, the coach may not be able to record. Hang up and try again.
- Tap the mic button once and pause for half a second before speaking — the recording starts on tap.
04Billing & Pro
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Settings → Subscription → Upgrade to Pro. If you subscribed on iOS or Android, the platform handles the charge. On the web (when available), Stripe handles it.
How do I cancel?
- Stripe (web): Settings → Subscription → Manage. This opens the Stripe billing portal.
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → RollMind → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → RollMind → Cancel.
You keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
I was charged after I cancelled.
Cancellations need to happen at least 24 hours before the renewal date — Apple and Google both apply this rule. If you cancelled in time and were still charged, send us the receipt and we will sort it out.
Refunds.
- App Store / Play Store charges: request through the platform. Apple — reportaproblem.apple.com. Google — Play Store → Subscriptions → request a refund.
- Stripe charges: email hi@rollmind.app within 14 days. We refund in good faith for unused service.
I want a receipt or invoice.
Stripe sends a receipt to your email automatically. App Store and Play Store receipts are in your purchase history on those platforms. If you need a tax invoice with a VAT number or company details, email us and we'll generate one.
05Your data, account, & privacy
How do I delete my account?
Either Settings → Account → Delete account in the app, or email hi@rollmind.app from your account address. Full details on the Account Deletion page.
How do I export my graph?
- Pro users: Settings → Library → Export → Markdown or Anki.
- Anyone: email hi@rollmind.app and we will send you a JSON dump of your library, graph, and notes within 7 days.
What data does RollMind collect?
The full breakdown is in our Privacy Policy. Short version: account email, the videos you save, the graph and notes you create, coach chat history, and crash diagnostics. No advertising data, no behavioral analytics, no microphone access outside active voice-coach use.
06Reporting a bug
The most useful bug report includes:
- What you did — the exact steps that triggered the bug.
- What you expected — and what actually happened.
- App version & OTA channel — Settings → About.
- Device & OS — e.g. "iPhone 15, iOS 18.2".
- A screenshot or screen recording if it's a visual bug.
- The video URL if it's an extraction issue.

07Reporting a security issue
If you've found a vulnerability, please email hi@rollmind.app with the subject "Security" and a description detailed enough to reproduce. Don't disclose publicly until we've had a chance to fix it. We acknowledge within 48 hours and credit researchers in our release notes if you'd like.
